IAR held its Spring Open House on March 3rd, and it was our best-attended event yet. We got to show off our newly-renovated facility, including our new radio production booth. Highlights of the event included a live recording session in our all-digital recording studio with the Sean Carolan Project performing live, terrific unplugged performances by IARecords’ Next Level performers Rick Warren and Osei, a mixing performance by HOT 97 DJ Bobby Trends, and a turntable demo with IAR alum and Power 105’s Jonathan Avila aka DJ Yanni. In addition, attendees got to do some hands-on mixing of their own on our Yamaha digital audio workstations.

Got beats? Got music? Got rhythm? Need the “hook”? On February 6th, IAR staff showed how to take the ingredients of a song and move them from the street to the stage. Using ProTools and plug-ins, our gold and platinum award-winning instructors demonstrated how to shine your music into a professional track.
