As the economy and the audio and technology industry are changing, there are expanding employment and internship opportunities for students and recent graduates of audio and technology programs in the New York area. The panel discussion, hosted by Doron Schachter, will explore issues such as how audio and technology are integrated in their respective companies, tips for obtaining internships and employment positions, the qualifications of the current audio and technology program students and recent graduates, and what employers are looking for in potential interns or new hires. The meeting will conclude with a question and answer period.
The evening will conclude with the raffle of a piece of audio hardware. The raffle is open only to NY area college students who are also active student members of the AES. Students may join the Section at the meeting.
In addition to AES NY Section members, all pro-audio/music technology students from NYU, Columbia, The New School University, Institute of Audio Research, City College of New York, New York City College of Technology, etc., plus members of NY’s live sound community are invited to attend.
