Advanced Media Production Program
Designed by post engineers working in the field, the 1200 hour Advanced Media Production Program* will prepare students for a career in the exciting and creative world that is Post Production. From your favorite movie to television to the ads heard on the radio, Post Production is used everywhere in the entertainment business. Students will be exposed to and understand the strong bond between audio and video production. Courses will focus on editing with Final Cut, green screen techniques, creating storyboards, new media marketing strategies and starting your own post house. Students get hands on experience by using cameras, lighting a set and recording production sound for several projects. As a final project, students will author a DVD reel of the work they completed through the program.
*This is an advanced program that starts with the prerequisite of the 900 hour Audio Recording Program (offered at IAR or its equivalent) followed by the 300 hour Advanced Media Production Course.
