In its admissions practices, the Institute of Audio Research displays an openness to students who demonstrate an ability to benefit from the educational programs and services it offers. This Open Admissions practice does not imply that a space in the entering class is offered to all individuals who possess a high school diploma or G.E.D.Rather, it implies that the Institute will seek to measure the match between the school and prospective students when they possess such credentials.
All prospective students are required to file a complete Application for Admission, including all supporting documentation. The Institute then considers each student’s academic record and preparation, including the nature and type of coursework, extra-curricular activities, attendance, final course grades, and any other materials that reflect on student ability. As a private institution, the Institute reserves the right to deny admission to any student who it believes is not adequately prepared or who does not demonstrate a readiness to engage in serious academic work.
